The 3D printing complete denture workflow can be divided into several stages:

2. 3D printing of artificial teeth: The artificial teeth of the prosthesis are printed separately using an appropriate dental material. The teeth are designed to match the patient’s dental morphology.
3. 3D printing of the base of the prosthesis: The base of the prosthesis, which will support the artificial teeth, is printed using a dental material adapted to the gum and the mouth of the patient.
4. Finishing and polishing printed parts: The printed teeth and base are carefully inspected, polished and prepared for assembly. This includes removing any print media and finishing surfaces for a precise fit.
5. Assembly of teeth on the base: The printed artificial teeth are carefully aligned and attached to the denture base using a curing adhesive by light, which can be cured with a UV lamp.
6. Occlusal adjustment: Teeth are adjusted to ensure precise occlusion, that is, correct alignment of the upper and lower teeth when the patient closes the mouth . This ensures a proper bite and comfort for the patient.
7. Finishing and final polishing: Once all the parts are assembled and the occlusal fit is perfect, the complete dental prosthesis undergoes a final finishing step and polishing to obtain a smooth and natural appearance.
8. Checking and adjustments: The prosthesis is checked to ensure that it meets the patient’s needs in terms of appearance and function. Adjustments may be necessary to ensure a comfortable fit.
9. Handed over to the patient: Once the prosthesis is ready, it is handed over to the patient. The patient receives instructions on denture care and can return for adjustments if necessary.
